Prices & packages
How much does a detail cost?

Packages start at $85 for a car and $100 for a truck or SUV. MRI (quick refresh) is $85 / $100. X-Ray (deep interior) and Facelift (exterior hand wash and wax) are $175 / $200. Minor Surgery (full detail) is $250 / $275, and Major Surgery, our most complete, is $300 / $350. Add-ons: dog hair removal from $25, odor removal from $40, headlight restoration $75. Prices are starting points and can change with the vehicle's condition.

Which package should I choose?

MRI is a quick refresh inside and out. X-Ray is all about the interior: shampoo, leather, vents and door panels. Facelift is the exterior: hand wash, hand wax and windows. Minor Surgery is a full detail inside and out. Major Surgery adds an ozone interior treatment, carpet extraction including the trunk, and a 2-step clay and polish for the paint. Tap "What's included" on any package in the builder for the full list, or call (704) 459-2160 for a free same-day estimate.

Do you give free estimates?

Yes, estimates are free and same-day. Ceramic coating, compound and buffing, leather repair and upholstery repair are priced by estimate because every vehicle is different. Tick them in the appointment builder and they're added to your request, or call (704) 459-2160.

Do you offer memberships or maintenance plans?

[CONFIRM WITH CLIENT: membership or maintenance plan? Price, how often, what's included. Or say "not at this time".] Most cars stay at their best with a visit every quarter or twice a year, depending on how you drive.

Do you sell gift cards?

[CONFIRM WITH CLIENT: do you sell gift cards? Amounts, how to buy one, and whether they expire.]

Where are you, and which areas do you serve?

We're at 18835 Statesville Road, Cornelius, NC 28031. We've looked after the Lake Norman area for 20 years, serving Cornelius, Davidson, Mooresville, Huntersville and Denver.

Do you come to me, or do I drop off my car?

Our shop is at 18835 Statesville Road, Cornelius, NC 28031. [CONFIRM WITH CLIENT: do you also offer mobile service at home or work? Any travel fee, and do you offer pickup and delivery?]

Can I wait while you work on my car?

[CONFIRM WITH CLIENT: waiting area and Wi-Fi? Or drop-off only, and is there a ride or loaner?]

How should I prepare my car?

Take out valuables and personal items, and empty the glovebox, console, door pockets and trunk so every surface can be cleaned. When you book, point out any problem spots you want looked at, like stains, smells or scratches. [CONFIRM WITH CLIENT: anything else, e.g. remove child seats, leave the keys or fob, arrive with a charge for EVs.]

What's your cancellation and late policy?

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, the appointment reschedules automatically. [CONFIRM WITH CLIENT: how much notice to cancel or reschedule, and any fee or deposit.] To change a booking, call (704) 459-2160.

What happens if it rains?

[CONFIRM WITH CLIENT: is work done indoors? If you offer mobile service, what's the rain policy?] Rain right after a detail won't undo the work. Most packages finish with wax, which helps water bead up and roll off.

How do I pay?

[CONFIRM WITH CLIENT: payment methods accepted, when payment is due, any deposit (e.g. for ceramic coating), and tipping.]

Paint & protection
What is ceramic coating, and is it worth it?

Ceramic coating is a liquid layer that bonds to your clear coat. It gives a deep gloss, makes water bead right off, keeps dirt from sticking so washing is easier, and helps guard against UV, bird droppings and road grime. It won't stop rock chips or deep scratches. Ours is a 9H diamond-grade system, currently $100 off, with a 5-year warranty for vehicles built before 2019 and 7 years for 2019 and newer. Pricing is by free estimate.

Ceramic coating, PPF or wax: what's the difference?

Wax gives shine and short-term protection and wears off within a few months; most of our packages include it. Ceramic coating lasts years, adds gloss and makes cleaning easy, but it's a chemical layer, not armor. Paint protection film (PPF) is a clear film for the areas rock chips hit, like the hood, front bumper and mirrors. Many owners put PPF on the front and ceramic coating over the whole car. [CONFIRM WITH CLIENT: do you install PPF in-house? Coverage options and pricing.]

Can you remove swirl marks and scratches?

Usually, yes. Compound and buffing is a machine polish that takes out swirls, haze and light scratches in the clear coat. If your fingernail catches in a scratch, it has likely gone through the clear coat; polishing can make it much less visible but may not remove it completely. Pricing is by free estimate, and Major Surgery includes a 2-step clay and polish.

Is a hand wash safer for my paint than an automatic car wash?

Yes. Every vehicle here is detailed completely by hand. Brush and tunnel washes drag grit across the paint, and over time that shows up as swirl marks. Touchless washes avoid brushes but rely on stronger chemicals to do the work. A careful hand wash is the gentlest way to clean, and it reaches the door jambs, wheels and trim that machines miss.

How do I look after my car after a detail or coating?

Wash by hand with a pH-neutral car soap and soft microfiber, and skip brush car washes. After a ceramic coating, give it time to cure before the first wash, and don't put wax on top. [CONFIRM WITH CLIENT: cure time and aftercare steps for your coating, and anything the warranty requires, e.g. maintenance visits.]

How often should I get my car detailed?

Every quarter or twice a year, depending on how you drive. Daily drivers, long commutes and cars parked outside under trees do best on the quarterly schedule.

Interior
Can you get rid of pet hair?

Yes. Dog hair removal is an add-on from $25. It lifts embedded hair from carpet and seats, and the final price depends on how much hair is worked into the fabric. Pair it with an interior package like X-Ray for a complete clean.

Can you remove smoke, pet or food smells?

Yes. Odor removal is an add-on from $40 for smoke, pet and food smells, and Major Surgery includes an ozone interior treatment. Smells come back unless the source is cleaned out, so odor removal works best alongside an interior package. Heavy, long-term smoke can take more than one treatment.

Can you get stains out of seats and carpet?

Most stains lift with shampooing and extraction. X-Ray shampoos mats and vinyl seats, Minor Surgery shampoos carpet and mats, and Major Surgery extracts carpet and mats including the trunk. Old dye stains, bleach marks and burns can be permanent; those are a job for upholstery repair. Carpets can stay a little damp for a few hours afterward.

Do you repair leather and upholstery?

Yes. Leather repair covers scratches, scuffs, tears and fading. Upholstery repair covers fabric, vinyl and suede with burns, stains and tears. Both are priced by free estimate. Leather is also cleaned and conditioned in X-Ray and Major Surgery.

Peace of mind
Do you work on luxury, exotic and electric vehicles?

[CONFIRM WITH CLIENT: experience with exotics and EVs/Teslas, matte or wrapped paint, classics, oversized or lifted trucks, and anything you don't take, like boats, RVs or motorcycles.] Every vehicle gets complete hand detailing.

Are you insured if something gets damaged?

We've looked after Lake Norman vehicles for 20 years. [CONFIRM WITH CLIENT: insurance coverage, and what happens if something is damaged in your care.]

What if I'm not happy with the result?

[CONFIRM WITH CLIENT: satisfaction policy, e.g. how soon to report it and whether you redo the area at no charge.] Call (704) 459-2160 and tell us what you see so we can take a look.

What products do you use? Are they safe?

We use an eco-friendly process. [CONFIRM WITH CLIENT: product brands, and anything worth saying about water use or products that are safe around kids, pets and allergies.]
